Funding Circle is great for alternate income streams and was the 1st business to allow P2P lending for businesses in Britain. It now operates in the Germany, US, UK and the Netherlands. Funding Circle has facilitated over £5bn in loans to SMEs as at June 2018. The typical Return on Investment is about 7.9% which is a lot better than many Hedge Funds. The way they process defaults is a lot better than how a bank would. When a lender defaults, Funding Circle will ease back on the payments allowing the company to recover. Often the business is able to return nearly all of the capital.

Funding Circle has been around since 2010 and is a lending marketplace that enables investors to lend funds directly to SMEs. Funding Circle was created in 2010 by James Meekings, Samir Desai and Andrew Mullinger.
